Our Sincere and Heartfelt Technique
By becoming in tune with your body and listening to your muscles of which technique they will allow, we are able to perform a more effective, yet relaxing massage session.
The following is a list of the different modalities and their description that we perform during the massage session:
* Swedish- gentle, relaxing technique using long flowing strokes to increase blood circulation, promote relaxation, and relieve tension
* Myofascial Release- a form of soft tissue therapy involving the stretching and
manipulation of the fascia. Your fascia is a structure of connective
tissue that surrounds groups of muscles and nerves to bind the
structures together while permitting others to slide smoothly over
eachother. It's just like the thin, opaque covering you find on chicken.
Sometimes, if the fascia is too tight, it is difficult to target the deeper
muscles to relive chronic tension. Therefore, it is efficient to
incorporate Myofascial Release during the massage.
* Trigger Point Therapy- A very specialized pain-relief technique designed to
reduce muscle spasms and cramping by locating and deactivating
tender areas where muscles have been damaged
* Deep Tissue- similar to Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial
in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers
of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia (the protective layer surrounding
muscles, bones and joints)
* Reflexology- Stimulation of specific meridian points located in the extremeties
help to relieve pain and discomfort throughout the body and
significantly restore its natural harmony
* Sports Massage- a deep tissue massage designed to enhance athletic
performance and recovery with the accompaniment of stretching and
extra focus on the targeted muscles used in specfic types of athletic
traning.
There are three contexts in which sports massage can be useful to an
athlete: pre-event, post-event, and injury treatment.
